I’ve been creating content for more than 20 years. My career started at BBC Worldwide, where I cut my teeth writing blurbs and sleeve notes for audio publications ranging from Shakespeare to the latest Radio 4 comedies. From there I moved to high street giant M&S, writing copy for catalogues, packaging and point of sale. After going freelance, I continued to support M&S, whilst taking on additional clients including Tesco and Morrisons. There’s nothing like retail for honing creativity at speed!
As my freelance career progressed, I took on clients from other sectors including property, law and financial services, working with organisations of all sizes to define their core messaging and tone of voice. I’ve also worked extensively on annual reports, helping international businesses meet their ESG requirements across sustainability, diversity and inclusion. I love taking a jumble of facts and turning them into a clear, concise and compelling account of a company’s activities.
Most recently I’ve been at British Airways, taking a fixed-term contract as Copy Lead within their Creative Studio, which involves everything from scriptwriting to CRM.
